I love using the New Year as a reason to reflect on the past year, while also focusing on goals for the new year. These New Years Time Capsule Ideas have students reflecting on where they are now and where they want to be in the future. It's so much fun to talk to our little learners about the upcoming New Year and see all of their insight about the past year and all the hope to see in the New Year. No matter how young or old they are their perspective is amazing.  To celebrate the year ahead we like to build up the anticipation with this New Years Eve Countdown Clock. Kids love creating these. And these New Years Glasses and Writing Activity are always full of fun and giggles. Reading books about the New Year is a way to talk about the holiday while sneaking in some literacy.
