Every year, when November rolls around, I am just as shocked as the year before… wasn’t it just the summer? What do you mean the holidays are only a few weeks away? I feel like once August hits and we go back to school, the months fly by! But we can all agree that while the months may fly by, the days in the classroom can slowly creep along. Luckily, November is filled with a few extra days off of school! Plus, we can unlock a learning adventure with our seasonal-themed Pre-K Math and Literacy Centers to keep our students active and engaged during those long days.
We start off the month by recovering from Halloween. Then, we begin to discuss and learn about Veteran’s Day. We talk about and explore the importance of the day with this Veteran’s Day Emergent Reader.
After Veteran’s Day, we start to prepare for Thanksgiving! I just love this holiday. There is something about taking the time to think about and discuss everything that we’re grateful for that just fills my heart with so much joy. Our littlest learners share their gratitude with this I Am Thankful turkey activity and our thankful turkey craft. Books from this collection of Thanksgiving stories are a great way to start the conversation!
My favorite November learning themes include turkeys, hayrides, pumpkins, scarecrows, and football! But I especially like focusing on turkeys. In science, we learn all about wild turkeys in this animal study. We enjoy our turkey pre-k centers with activities like this turkey name building. And of course we have to make something adorable to send home before Thanksgiving break. This paper bag turkey craft is always a hit!
When it comes to reviewing math and literacy skills with my students during this time of year, I never use anything other than these November Pre-k Math and Literacy Centers. The centers come with everything I need to make learning fun during November. The activities are truly the best math and literacy centers for pre-k in November, and your lesson plans for the month will be so easy to fill up!

Using the November Pre-k Math and Literacy Centers
Once you purchase and download the bundle of November pre-k centers, you’ll be able to look through everything that you now own!
I always suggest starting off by looking through and familiarizing yourself with everything and taking notes of what you plan to use right away. There are so many options within each resource, including both color and black & white versions, so it’s a good idea to look through and decide which option you’re going to print and use.
Once you make a list and start printing, separate the activities into piles of what needs to be copied, laminated, cut, etc. Remember that the more activities you laminate to reuse, the less prep the centers will be next year!
Probably the best piece of advice I can give you when using these centers to review your pre-kindergarten November lessons is to model, model, model. Model how to use each type of center for your students, and set clear and concise expectations for using them. This will help your littlest learners be more independent while they are working and playing.

Pre-k Math Activities for November
Math Write the Room Centers
There is no such thing as too much turkey math for pre-k, right? Right! The four November write the room math activities are way more exciting than just having your students remain seated to do a couple of November math worksheets. The write the room activities will help your students review comparing size, sorting same or different, ten frames, and writing numbers.

Math Write & Wipe Activities
Write and wipe activities are perfect for math because the kids can practice the skill over and over again which helps them better retain their new knowledge. The four November math write and wipe activities review these skills: drawing a picture to match a number, numbers to 10, shapes, and sorting what doesn’t belong.

Math Puzzles and Match-Up Activities
The two math puzzles and two math match-up activities are going to be your new favorite hands-on math centers for pre-k in November. You’ll love how much fun your students will have while they’re reviewing equal groups, numbers, counting, shapes, and patterns.
