Getting Ice Cream Number Match-Up Ready:

Print the match-ups (Color or Black & White), laminate and cut using a paper trimmer.  Gather all of the pieces and place in a plastic container. I love using plastic pencil cases to store centers like these. It keeps everything in one place and does not take up a ton of space.

This obviously doesn’t take a ton of time to put together and makes a wonderful activity to help your kids have fun and learn at the same time.

Students will then sort through all of the scoops with pictures looking for the ones that start with the number six.

Each ice cream cone has six scoops with a visual. Once the ice cream cone has has six scoops representing the corresponding number, they can move on to a new number and start again.

Another way this could be completed, is to have all of the ice cream cones laid out on a table or even the floor. Students will then sort through all of the scoops and place each one at the correct cone.
