This Then and Now Sort Printable will be the perfect way to get your students to introduce sorting skills while also incorporating a little social studies. You can also use this printable in your creative writing centers.

An activity to sort things from the past and present

Then and Now Sort Printable contains two headers- one to indicate the past and one to indicate the present. And then sorting cards (9 cards for the present and 9 cards for the past with 18 cards total).

Doing Then and Now Sort Printable

Students will start the activity by placing all four of the sorting headers out on the table or floor.

Students will place the sorting cards in a pile next to the header. You can also send a copy of this home with your students to reinforce learning skills.

They will choose one card at a time and place on the corresponding header. This student chose to lay the game out and sorted the appropriate cards beneath the appropriate headers.
