I really look forward to seeing Cherry Blossom Trees flowering every Spring. This Spring Fingerprint Tree Craft is part of the thumbprint crafts series and is a perfect one to do to celebrate the season! This thumbprint craft is great for little hands to practice those fine motor skills while creating a beautiful Spring tree!

Materials Needed for the Spring Fingerprint Tree Craft:
- White paper
- Colored paper
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Masking tape
- Paint – green, blue, and pink
- Brown watercolor paint
- Paintbrush
Getting the Spring Fingerprint Tree Craft Ready:
To get this craft ready, prepare the tree template the student’s hand on a colored piece of paper and then cut it out. This will be the tree trunk template,
Get the paint ready for the kids to use by putting it out onto a plate or something the can press their thumb onto.
It also helps to get the tape ready by rolling it into pieces, ready to use to stick the tree trunk template down. Masking tape works best for this.
Doing the Spring Fingerprint Tree Craft :
The students will start by taping their tree trunk template (made from their hand) onto a white piece of paper using rolled up pieces of tape.
Next, make the green thumbprints for grass. Be sure to make thumbprints close together along the edge of the template.
After the shape is outlined with thumbprints and there are prints all around the paper, let the paint dry.
Now your Spring Fingerprint Tree Craft is complete!
