Students can practice identifying characteristics of the four seasons

It is so important to find fun ways to introduce or review the concept of sorting. This Seasons Sort Printable will be the perfect way to get your students to introduce sorting skills while also incorporating a little science.

Seasons Sort Printable contains four headers- one for each of the four seasons printed. And then sorting cards (6 cards for each season).

Getting Seasons Sort Printable Ready

Choose which season you will start with and set out the appropriate header and sorting cards you would like to use. Print them on cardstock and laminate so that this center can be used year after year.

Supplies Needed for Seasons Sort:

  • Laminator
  • Cardstock
  • Scissors or Paper Trimmer
  • Plastic Pencil Cases or Ziploc bags for storage
  • Seasons Sort Printable (download below!)
Laminating your seasons sort printable ensures that you can use it year after year in your classroom!

Doing Seasons Sort Printable

Students will start the activity by placing all four of the sorting headers out on the table or floor.

This Seasons Sort printable is the perfect addition to your learning centers at any time of the year.

Students will place the sorting cards in a pile next to the header. You can also send a copy of this home with your students to reinforce learning skills over the summer.

They will choose one card at a time and place on the corresponding header. This student chose a Spring card so they placed it beneath the spring header.

Students will continue these steps until all of the cards have been sorted to the correct header.
