Getting Ready for the Animal Alphabet B is for Butterfly Craft

Choose whether you’d like your students to have the tracing version of the craft (includes dotted letters to trace “B b is for Butterfly” at the bottom of the page), or the non-tracing version. Print out enough letters for each student. Also be sure to print off enough copies of the craft pieces for each student (plus a couple extras for mistakes).

Doing the Animal Alphabet B is for Butterfly Craft

Once we finished our “A is for Alligator” craft, my students were already asking when we to start letter B! They really enjoyed the process of putting this project together themselves. First, I have my kids color and trace the sentence on the alphabet letter. (If you prefer, there is also a non-tracing version of the craft).

Next, they color their craft pieces and cut them out. If students need help visualizing what the final product is going to look like, they can refer to the example in the directions. The example is simply meant to be a guide, though. Creativity is encouraged!

After students color their craft pieces, they can cut them out and glue them to their letter B. Students can add antennae and a mouth using crayons or colored pencils.

That’s it! The completed project is something your students can be proud of displaying in the classroom or at home.

Love these! The Letter A craft is not working from the main page of Animal Alphabet Crafts, would love to incorporate that in my series. Any chance we could be directed to where it’s located? Thank you!
