With fall rearing its beautifully colorful head, it’s time to start getting our little learners out and exploring! And what better way to get them out and about learning about seasonal change like a scavenger hunt?

This wonderful outdoor activity printable will get your students out and about observing all the beautiful changes that come with autumn. Your students will love running around hunting down each and everything item on this Fall Scavenger Hunt Activity!

This free printable worksheet is perfect for Pre-K / Kindergarten students. It teaches your students about nature and fall, all while keeping their minds and bodies active.

One of my favorite ways to educate my students is by getting them out exploring the world around them. It’s a great way to work on their observation skills and to encourage them to learn about the world around them without them feeling like they’re doing classwork.

Your little learners are going to love checking off each item as they find them when you take your classroom outdoors. Your students won’t even know they’re learning about nature while doing this simple yet fun scavenger hunt.

To continue learning about all things autumn, you’ll also love our I See Fall Interactive Reader and our Fall Initial Sound Match-Up Free Printable!

  • One full-color printable Fall Scavenger Hunt activity with 12 items to find and checkboxes for each item.

How to Use These Printable Worksheets:

Download the Fall Scavenger Hunt activity worksheet by clicking on the button at the bottom of the page.

Open the PDF document and print a scavenger list for each student in your class.

Print the worksheet out on standard copy paper or cardstock if you’d like to have something a little sturdier for them to write on.

Before taking your students out to explore, have your students familiarize themselves with each item on the worksheet. Ask them questions about each item and ensure they have a good understanding of what each item is.

While your students are looking over the worksheet and hunting down each fall-themed item, explain to your students how each item relates to fall time. Explain to them how the leaves change color, how the weather changes, and how the wildlife around them adapts to autumn time.

As each of your students find the items on the scavenger hunt list, have them check off each item.
