Cut the cards and place in a basket or plastic pencil holder. Have students match the letter pumpkin to the picture that matches the corresponding letter. It is recommended that you laminate these prior to use for durability reasons.

Beginning Sound Clip Cards
Cut these cards up and place in a basket with clothespins. Have students look at the picture and decide what letter the picture begins with. They will then clip their clothespin on the corresponding letter. It is recommended that you laminate these prior to use for durability reasons.

Life Cycle Sentences
You can start by placing the long sentence strips and the picture on a pocket chart. Have students make the sentences themselves using the words. As students master that, you can have them start from scratch. They can place the sentences and pictures in order and then make the sentences all by themselves. Rhyming Puzzles
Cut these cards up and place in a basket or a plastic pencil case. Have students complete the puzzles by matching the rhyming sounds. It is recommended that you laminate these prior to use for durability reasons.

Uppercase and Lowercase Match
Cut the cards out and place in a basket or plastic pencil case. Have students match the uppercase pumpkin with the lowercase pumpkin. They can also extend this by putting the pumpkins in alphabetical order. It is recommended that you laminate these prior to use for durability reasons.

Pumpkin Count and Clip Cards
Cut these cards up and place in a basket with clothespins. Have students look at the picture and count the number of pumpkins. They will then clip their clothespin on the corresponding number. It is recommended that you laminate these prior to use for durability reasons.

First to 20 and First to 50
Place the dice, game mats, and counters in a container. You can use your own dice or the one provided in this resource. Students will work in small groups. Each student has their own mat and will take turns rolling the cube. If a student rolls a five, they will cover up five squares. Then the next person will go. They will repeat this until someone has their board completely filled. The first person to fill their board wins. It is recommended that you laminate these prior to use for durability reasons.

Number Play Dough Mats
Have in a tub with play doh an vis-a-vie markers. Students will use play doh to ’write’ the number eight. Then they will use the vis-a-vie marker to trace the word eight. Lastly, they will make eight balls of play doh and place in the ten frame. It is recommended that you laminate these prior to use for durability reasons.

Number Puzzles
Cut the cards out and place in a basket or plastic pencil case. Have students complete the puzzles based on the given number.It is recommended that you laminate these prior to use for durability reasons.

Skip Counting
Cut these cards up and place in a basket or a plastic pencil case. Have students place the numbers in order depending on if they are counting by 2s, 5s, or 10s. You can have students record answers on recording sheet. It is recommended that you laminate these prior to use for durability reasons.
