Materials Needed for Alphabet Puzzles:
Getting Alphabet Puzzles Ready
First decide if you want to have your puzzles with words or without words and then whether or not you want color or black and white. Print the chosen puzzles. Laminate for extra durability. This will allow the puzzles to last for several years. Lastly, cut the puzzles out.
Everything is ready to go – all that is left is playing with your students!

Using Alphabet Puzzles at Home or in the Classroom
I love using these puzzles in literacy centers, but they can also be used at teacher table, quiet time, or as a quick time filler independent activity. I typically start by introducing a few puzzles at a time. As your students or children begin to master the puzzles, slowly add in more. Not only are they teaching students about the alphabet, but it is also increasing their vocabulary and helping them improve their fine motor skills.
