Summer is just around the corner! If you are a parent and have school-aged kids, you’re bound to hear the phrase “I’m bored” sometime during the summer months. At the beginning of the summer, I always have a ton of fun ideas and entertaining activities planned. But, sometimes we fall into a rut. This year, I came up with a list creative and educational things to prevent the boredom blues. To get my kids interested in the activities, I turned it into a Boredom Buster Bingo game.

Getting The Boredom Buster Bingo Game Ready:

Click on the button below to download the Boredom Buster Bingo game. Then, print it on card stock or paper. You can also laminate it or put it in a plastic sheet protector. Laminating the bingo card will allow you and your children to reuse the game every week. If you hang the bingo card on your refrigerator or other visible area, your children can color in the square or put an “x” in the box using dry erase markers.

Doing The Boredom Buster Bingo Game:

When your children get bored, they can pick one or more activities to do from the chart. The activities include things to reinforce learning such as adding all of the spoons and forks together and making a list of animals found at a zoo. There are also creative and thinking activities like creating something from an empty box and putting a puzzle together.

You can have your children complete a row or “BINGO” every week or challenge them to finish the entire chart in a month.

Not only is this Boredom Buster Bingo Game a great way to prevent your children from getting bored on those long, summer days, but it is also a fun activity to use in the classroom if you are a teacher. You can print the blank bingo card and have your students write in ideas to bust boredom in your classroom. Your students can keep the bingo card at their desks and complete the activities if they finish their work early.

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is great blog. A fantastic read. I’ll definitely be back.
