This letter of the week craft is perfect for your kids that love animals. Animal Alphabet N is for Narwhal craft is a free printable for kindergarteners!
I’m so excited about this Animal Alphabet Letter of the Week Craft! Seriously, I’ve been waiting for it since we started A is for Alligator. Maybe it’s because I never knew this creature even existed until adulthood (seriously, why didn’t I know about this unicorn-like sea creature sooner?!?) I kind of feel like it is my teacher duty to spread awareness of this animal now. So without further ado, I present to you our N is for Narwhal Letter Alphabet Craft!

If you are just joining us this week, we have been going through a series of Animal Alphabet Letter of the Week Crafts. Each craft is designed so that your preschool or kindergarten children can make on their own. Each craft offers a chance for them to practice coloring, cutting, tracing, and gluing to make a fun animal that begins with the featured letter. Let’s continue with the letter N!
Supplies for the Animal Alphabet N is for Narwhal Craft
Getting the Letter N Craft Ready
Print enough letter N and craft sheets for every student. You may want to print extras in case students decide they need a do-over for any reason.
Doing the Letter N Craft
Have students color the letter N. Since this letter craft is a little different in that the letter doesn’t actually make up part of the animal, you might want to talk about where Narwhal’s live (the ocean) and recommend ocean colors. However, if they choose something other than blue that’s ok too!
Once students have colored their letters, they can trace the “N n is for Narwhal” sentence below the letter. If you prefer not to have students trace, there is a printable in the pack without the sentence as well.
After students color their letters, pass out the craft pieces containing the narwhal’s body, horn, and tail. You’ll also want to have the students draw on facial features now (before gluing the piece to the paper).
Next, students can cut each piece out and glue them to the letter.
They can look at the craft guide sheet or a pre-made example to find the correct placement for each piece.
The finished project is always super-adorable! If you choose, you may keep each of the finished letters and bind them into an Animal Alphabet Book at the end of the series.
