Winner Wednesday Header

How on Earth is it already July?! I feel like summer just started in Texas and we are almost half way through. This month I am giving away one of my top sellers, Phoneme Segmentation. Before I go into detail about this product, I want to explain what Winner Wednesday is. This linky will take place the first Wednesday of every month. A popular product will be featured from my store including detailed explanation with authentic pictures.  All you have to do is enter your name into the Rafflecopter and YOU will have a chance to win that product for FREE! For more information on how to participate in this linky, click HERE.

The activities in Phoneme Segmentation will help students to focus on breaking up words into sounds, also known as phoneme segmentation. This document provides the teacher a variety of ways of introducing and reinforcing the material in whole group, small group, or centers. There are five different activities included in this file, focusing on words with 2,3,4, and 5 phonemes. It is recommended that you laminate the materials for durability before using.

Phoneme Segmentation

Phoneme Segmentation is an important practice to master in order for little learners to develop their own writing skills. Students need to be able to dissect a word so that they can write it. It is also important that they can identify the different letters that represent the word. The activities in this document will help students to focus on breaking up words into sounds.

Phoneme Segmentation is one of my favorite resources and a top seller in my Teachers Pay Teachers store. I love it for so many reasons. I used it all the time during our literacy block and for my Tier Three time. This resource provides you with a variety of ways to introduce and reinforce the material in whole group, small group, or centers. There are almost 200 pages, filled with five different activities, focusing on words with 2,3,4, and 5 phonemes. Even though each activity requires students to segment, they are all slightly different.  One center or activity may speak to one kid giving them their “AHA!” moment and another activity may speak to a different kid.

Here is a picture of each of the five activities that are included:

Such a fantastic pack! I couldn’t agree more that phoneme segmentation is such an important skill for beginning readers. I have several new products in the works, but didn’t quite get done in time. Hopefully I can link up next month! Enjoy your summer!

This looks awesome!! I’m going to need this in the next few years as K progresses from letters to words and breaking them apart.
