A teacher’s day is full of required things to teach during the school day. Most days I feel that there is honestly not enough hours in the day to get everything accomplished. Unfortunately, social studies was always my one subject that would get pushed to the side if I was short on time until I started integrating social studies and literacy. With the presidential elections coming soon, I put together a list of my favorite election books in hopes that you can easily find some great picture books to read to your students. Since this event is one that only happens every four years, it is so important to find ways to introduce or review what a presidential election is. Here are my favorite 12 election books. Are you looking for more election ideas, activities, and printables to do at home or in the classroom? If so click here.

Duck for President
I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is needed to get setup? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet smart so I’m not 100 positive. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
