Are you ready to continue our Animal Alphabet Letter of the Week Series? For those of you just joining us, we are going through the alphabet with fun animal letter crafts that kindergartners can preschoolers can make and learn from! Each craft offers a chance for your child to practice coloring, cutting, tracing, and gluing to make a fun animal that begins with the featured letter. Today we are working on Animal Alphabet M is for Mouse Craft.
Supplies for the Animal Alphabet M is for Mouse Craft
Getting the Letter M Craft Ready
Print enough letter M and craft sheets for every student. You may want to print extras in case students decide they need a do-over for any reason.
Doing the Letter M Craft
Encourage your child to color the letter as they wish. They can model it after actual colors of mice, or use their imaginations and color them bright, vivid hues!
Once students have colored their letters, they can trace the “M m is for Mouse” sentence below the letter. If you prefer not to have students trace, there is a printable in the pack without the sentence as well.
Next, children can color the craft pieces that go along with the letter M craft. The craft pieces include two eyes, two ears, and a nose. It might be helpful for students to see the example craft during this stage so that they know what each craft piece is going to be.
Last, children can cut and glue each craft piece in the appropriate place on their letters.
The finished projects would make a great keepsake book at the end of the series!
