To get started teaching your kids about the importance of taking care of their teeth, you’ll want to understand what is included in this great set. Materials Needed for Kids Dental Health Science Unit:

  • paper or cardstock
  • laminating pouches
  • laminator
  • double sided tape, adhesive magnetic strips, or stapler
  • vis-a-vie markers

How To Prepare Your Kids Dental Health Science Unit

This particular resource is full of an assortment of activities and centers, therefore, preparation will vary. Below is a quick rundown of each component in the Kids Dental Health Science Unit.

Throughout the week students will be completing science activities about dental health. They will learn about the importance of taking care of their teeth. They will sort picture cards showing good and bad things for their teeth, learn about the parts of their teeth, and also the different kids of teeth they have. There will be several hands-on activities for your students to participate in throughout the week.

Dental Health PowerPoint and Posters

This contains fourteen page PowerPoint that introduces students to the importance of taking care of their teeth. Real pictures are included. If you do not have access to a computer, there are identical posters that you can use instead.

Egg Experiment

There is a recording sheet and direction on how students can see how different things they eat or drink can effect their teeth.
