This particular resource is full of an assortment of activities and centers, therefore, preparation will vary. Below is a quick rundown of each component in the Frogs: An Animal Study.
Science Lesson Plans for the Week
Throughout the week students will be completing science activities about frogs. They will learn the difference between a frog and a toad, a frog’s life cycle, parts of a frog, freshwater and saltwater animals, and apply everything they have learned at the end of the week by creating a frogs fact book or frog research project.
Definition Posters
There are six different definition posters to help students better understand key vocabulary words about frogs.

Frog and Toad PowerPoint and Posters
There is a nine page PowerPoint that describes the similarities and differences between frogs and toads. Real pictures are included. If you do not have access to a computer, there are identical posters that you can use instead
Frog and Toad Venn Diagram
As a class, everyone will complete a frog and toad Venn Diagram. The pieces to complete this activity are included. Students can complete a frog and toad comparison worksheet or fill out their own Venn Diagram when finished.

Frogs PowerPoint and Posters
There is an eleven page PowerPoint that introduces students to frogs. Real pictures are included. If you do not have access to a computer, there are identical posters that you can use instead.

Life Cycle of a Frog
There are five posters that show the life cycle of a frog in real picture format and clipart format. Students can complete a frog life cycle worksheet after the lesson.

Freshwater and Saltwater Sort and Worksheet
Since frogs live in freshwater, I thought it would be fun to include a sort that talked animals that live in freshwater and animals that live in saltwater. There are 24 real pictures of animals for students to sort according to where they live. Upon completion of the lesson, students can complete a worksheet.
Parts of a Frog
There is a poster that shows the different parts of a frog. Upon completion of the lesson, students will complete a worksheet that will require them to label the different parts of a frog.

Frog Fact Book
This is perfect for younger students that are not quite ready for a research project. This craftivity has students apply everything that they have learned during the week. They will write five facts about frogs and illustrate each fact. For students that are unable to write just yet, the five frogs facts are already written and students will simply illustrate each fact.

Frog Research Project Craftivity
If you would like your students to complete a frog research project, this craftivity is for you! Students will research a frog’s appearance, habitat, behaviors, diet, predators, and adaptations. There is also a source page so students can list where they found the information.
