The first day of school can be very scary for students, especially students that are going to preschool or kindergarten for the very first time. I mean, man, as a teacher, I even get nervous and I have been teaching for years. I always found giving kids this special little gift, the Back to School Confetti, to open the night before the first day of school helps to ease their minds and hearts for the anticipation of the BIG first day can make a world of a difference. Every single year, I get parents emailing, calling, or telling me in person how this simple little gift made the world of a difference and to me, that makes it all worth it. Find more back to school activities and resources!

I always gave my students their Back to School Confetti the night of meet the teacher night. I would make a BIG deal about it and reiterate that they must not open until the night before their first day of school.

Is it possible for you to make a PreK confetti page? I work in a school that has both preschool and PreK. I don’t want my students to get confused.

Hi Ashley, that’s a great recommendation. We’ll add this to our list of things to work on and add in the future.
