A poster with the title "I am a Scientist" on it with a girl wearing lab goggles holding up a beaker in a lab.

Teaching our students about science and letting them get involved with hands-on science experiments is one of my favorite things!

The excitement in their eyes is what teaching is all about.

Kids love learning about science because there are hands-on activities they can do and see in school, and at home. It is a very real and tangible unit they will study, use, and carry on throughout their life.

We read our stacks and stacks of STEM Books and bring STEM into our classroom with this Apple Boats STEM Activity.

To make things exciting and to show our little learners that science is in everything around us, we study all about Matter. And to get our little scientists exploring science regularly, we have themed science experiments that we do monthly.

Studying and finding the different ways we can observe and experiment in our world with interesting games and activities gets students learning without even realizing they’re learning.

I’ve created this I Am a Scientist Unit so our future scientists can learn and research about what a scientist does and the tools they use.

After completing this science unit, your class will be inspired as our youngest learners feel like they too are scientists.

Engage your students in exciting science lessons with this My Science Interactive Notebook.

I Am a Scientist Activity

Your class will be engaged as they learn how they can be little Scientists. As we begin this unit of study I like to start by reading S is for Scientists by Larry Verstraete.

This I Am a Scientist Unit is perfect for science in Preschool, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade classrooms and is packed full of intriguing science activities.

Learning about scientists is great for your unit studies, kids’ craft activities, and homeschoolers!
