Monster Counting Emergent Reader is the perfect, hands-on addition to your math or literacy centers any time of the year. This activity is perfect for preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten students.

A Monster counting book deconstructed.

Monster Counting Emergent Reader comes with eleven pages, covering numbers zero through ten. Students will have to count the monsters and write the number in the blank space.

Monster Counting Emergent Reader is the perfect, hands-on addition to your math or literacy centers anytime of the year. This activity is perfect for preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten students. 

You can prep this activity by cutting the pages in half. Each student will get a full set of half pages.

Students will start this activity by writing their name on the cover page. They can decorate the front of their book if they wish to do so.

Monster Counting Emergent Reader is the perfect, hands-on addition to your math or literacy centers anytime of the year. This activity is perfect for preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten students. 

They will then go, page by page, and count how many monsters are on each page. They will write their answer on the blank line. This student had one monster on her page so she wrote the number one on the line.

Students will then place the pages in numerical order.

Once the pages have been stapled, students can color each page, as time allows.

            am not able to get the the emergent reader. It keeps saying that it will arrive in my mailbox shortly but doesn’t. I am not on gmail.
