We have so much fun finding new ways to create Science Experiments with a fun fall theme.

When incorporating Halloween into science, students are learning without realizing they’re learning!

We explore pumpkins with a hands-on activity and engage in Halloween STEM learning. The excitement on our students’ faces when we create our Blood Cell Model is one of my favorite memories of October.

Would we want this festive month any other way?

To connect Halloween with science, we’ve created these four October Science Experiments so your students can conduct science experiments, make hypotheses, and ask and answer scientific questions.

October Science Experiments

Science Experiments are always entertaining!

Engage your class with these exciting hands-on science experiments! This resource is perfect for helping your little learner realize how much fun science can be and can be used for Pre-K, Kindergarten, and first grade.

Inside You’ll Find:

  • Four different science experiments – some seasonal and some evergreen.
  • Each experiment has step-by-step instructions and pictures showing how to complete the experiment.
  • 2 recording sheets for each experiment so you can differentiate for your students.

Gooey Monster Eyes

To connect Halloween activities with science, we’ve created these four October Science Experiments so your students can review science in an enjoyable hands-on way!

Making Gooey Monster Eyes with your students will provide lots of laughs and silly fun.

It also provides a way for you to discuss the science behind the thickening of the slime. You’ll be able to compare and contrast the use of cold and warm.

When your kids are washing their hands you’ll be able to have them analyze why the goopy slime is hard to wash off.

Dissolving Pumpkins

To connect Halloween activities with science, we’ve created these four October Science Experiments so your students can review science in an enjoyable hands-on way!

When preparing this Halloween themed science experiment students are able to develop their hypotheses, make observations, and then record their results about the dissolving a solid into different kinds of liquids.

Marshmallow Boats

To connect Halloween activities with science, we’ve created these four October Science Experiments so your students can review science in an enjoyable hands-on way!

This activity is perfect to use while learning about Christopher Columbus and his three boats. With the Marshmallow Boat experiment, you’re able to discuss different boats and floatation while using engineering skills and trial and error to design their own boats.

Students love building boats and then testing them to see if their design can stay afloat.

Inflating Ghost Balloon

To connect Halloween activities with science, we’ve created these four October Science Experiments so your students can review science in an enjoyable hands-on way!

Here’s a  great way to discuss how acid and base react and how it gives off carbon dioxide gas. This activity is so engaging your kids will be wide-eyed as they observe the gas when the balloon inflates! How big can you get your ghost to grow?
