3 Ingredient Soft Playdough Recipe for Kids

So many children absolutely love to play with playdough. It’s a great developmental activity for fine motor skills, and provides sensory input for children as well. Try out this easy 3 ingredient soft playdough recipes for kids. Make as much or as little as you need.

Materials Needed for the 3 Ingredient Soft Playdough Recipe:

Your children will absolutely love this easy 3 ingredient soft playdough recipe!
  • Food Dye
  • Cornstarch
  • Shaving Cream

Getting the Soft Playdough Recipe Ready:

Need an easy playdough recipe? Check out this easy 3 ingredient soft playdough recipe.

In a large mixing bowl combine 1 cup of shaving cream with 2 cups of cornstarch.

With only 3 ingredients, parents and kids alike will love this easy 3 ingredient soft playdough recipe.

Stir shaving cream and cornstarch to combine.

Use your hands to knead the rest of the cornstarch into the dough.

If the dough feels too sticky, add more cornstarch. If the dough feels like it’s crumbling, add more shaving cream.
Separate the dough into 6 equal amounts.

Sometimes less is really more! Try this easy 3 ingredient soft playdough recipe with your kids.

In a large mixing bowl, use a fork to mix in food dye to each ball of dough.

Once the color is mostly mixed in, add a few pinches of cornstarch and knead the dough until the color is fully combined.

Your dough is ready to be played with! Store in an airtight container.
