I graduated from Hastings College in 2007. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, even though I switched majors a few times. I ended up graduating with majors in Elementary Education and Special Education. I taught 4th grade for 2 years in Nebraska and then moved to Houston, TX, where I taught a Gifted and Talented 1st grade class for 3 years. After my husband, Dan, and I got married, I took some time off because we moved often with his job. We lived in Spain, Newfoundland, and Alberta! We settled back in the Houston area in 2013, and I began teaching kindergarten. I did that off and on until 2020. I took a few years off with my 2 oldest kids, Reis Anne and Fischer, and hung my hat when I had my youngest, Tanner. I love being able to create content for you all, and love designing low prep but highly useful meaningful content that I would have used in my classroom! I enjoy my family, my 2 black labs (Sadie Cakes and Blue), being outside, and always down for an adventure with my kids!
