Welcome to another animal alphabet craft here on A Dab of Glue Will Do! We have been going through a series of Animal Alphabet Letter of the Week Crafts. Each craft is designed so that your preschool or kindergarten child can learn about the alphabet while creating something fun. Each craft offers a chance for them to practice coloring, cutting, tracing, and gluing to make a fun animal that begins with the featured letter. Let’s continue with the letter T: Animal Alphabet T is for Tiger.

Getting the Letter T Craft Ready

Print enough letter T and craft sheets for every student. You may want to print extras in case students decide they need a do-over for any reason.

Doing the Letter T Craft

Have each student color their letters as desired. My preschooler chose to color his letter T orange to make an orange tiger. A fabulous book to pair with this activity is Mr. Tiger Goes Wild by Peter Brown!

Once students have colored their letters, they can trace the “T t is for Tiger” sentence below the letter. If you prefer not to have students trace, there is a printable in the pack without the sentence as well.

After students color their letters, pass out the craft pieces containing the tiger’s body parts (eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and stripes). You’ll also want to have the students color these now (before cutting and gluing them to the paper).

Next, students can cut each piece out and glue them to the letter.

They can use the sample picture provided to see where to place each body part.

The finished project is always super-adorable! If you choose, you may keep each of the finished letters and bind them into an Animal Alphabet Book at the end of the series.
