The week leading up to Thanksgiving can be hard to get through in the classroom. Both you and your students are ready for a BREAK!
We start November by learning about Veteran’s Day with this easy reader and then we begin using everything about TURKEYS! We can do fun turkey-themed literacy activities like this digraph match-up and we can practice our math skills with this addition and subtraction activity.
But by the time we reach the week before Thanksgiving, we’re ready to take it easy. We might learn about real turkeys with this science unit. We spend some time reading these Thanksgiving read-alouds.
But we’re always looking for other easy options to make the week fun.
So why not play bingo with your elementary-age students for a fun Thanksgiving-themed game that will help make the week leading up to the holiday fly by?
This Thanksgiving bingo game is great for large groups in your classroom or small review groups. With two different versions of 30 game boards, the whole class can play! Add this fun and engaging game to your Thanksgiving lesson plans. This game is a great way to introduce or review Thanksgiving-themed vocabulary words.
Inside You’ll Find:

- laminator

- manipulatives (counters, goldfish, rocks, buttons, M&Ms, coins, mini erasers, etc.)
Getting Thanksgiving Bingo Ready
Once you purchase and download the bingo game, decide which type of board you’ll be using. Print the bingo boards out in either color or black & white. We highly suggest laminating them to make them last for years to come. Print and cut out the teacher calling cards and place them into a pile or a baggy.
Gather some manipulatives for students to cover the spots on their board with. I love to use seasonal items like corn kernels or festive mini erasers, but you can also use counters, pieces of paper, dabbers if you’re using the black & white versions, dry erase markers, M&Ms, coins, etc.
After that, everything is ready to go – all that is left is playing with your students!
Using Thanksgiving Bingo in the Classroom
You can play this Thanksgiving bingo in a traditional way, calling cards until students cover 5 in a row, or you can make it more challenging by calling cards until students can create a “T” shape, “L” shape, or even until they can fill the entire board. Bingo is a fun game to play when you have parent volunteers in the classroom too! You can make it even more exciting by giving winners something from your prize box or a Thanksgiving-themed gift!

With havin so much content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright infringement? My site has a lot of unique content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my agreement. Do you know any ways to help protect against content from being ripped off? I’d really appreciate it.
